Instructions:
Click each install button above to download and install 1) USB drivers, then 2) the configuration utility.

Internet Explorer Users: Select 'Run' once the file is downloaded.
Other browsers: Open your browser downloads folder and click on the setup.exe file.

Requires Windows Vista SP2 or newer.

Click the install button above to download and install the HDD VR Simulator software.

Internet Explorer Users: Select 'Run' once the file is downloaded.
Other browsers: Open your browser downloads folder and click on the “hdd_vr_sim-x.x.x.exe” file.

Refer to Section 6.1, Installation Guide, of the HDD VR Simulator User Manual for detail instructions on the installation.

Ditch Witch® HDD VR Simulator Desktop Setup
Oculus Rift® VR System + Touch controllers Reality Headset
Leap Motion® Universal VR Dev Bundle
Desktop or laptop computer which meets or exceeds the following specifications: Intel® Core i5, 3.4 GHz or higher, 8 GB RAM, 4 USB 3.0 ports and 4 USB 2.0 ports, NVIDIA® GeForce GTX 1050 or equivalent graphics card, onboard sound, Windows® 7 Professional or Windows® 10 Professional, flat screen monitor supporting 1920 x 1080 resolution.

Download and Install the HDD Simulator Software
Click the installation link above to download and install the HDD Simulator software.

Internet Explorer Users: Select 'Run' once the file is downloaded.
Other browsers: Open your browser downloads folder and click on the “hddsim-x.x.x-full.exe” file.
Refer to Section 5, Computer Setup, of the HDD Simulator Setup and Safety Instructions for detailed instructions on the installation.

This software requires a computer with the following minimum specifications:

Intel® 12th Generation i5
3.4 GHz or higher
16 GB of RAM
Graphics card: NVIDIA® GTX1060 or AMD RX 470 or better, with at least 3 GB VRAM and DX12 support
Windows® 10 64-bit or Windows 11 with administrator rights
Video ports: 2 HDMI
USB-A ports:
- Requires 1 USB-A for connecting to operator’s console
- Desktop: additional 1-2 USB-A ports for mouse and keyboard
- Laptop: optional additional 1-2 USB-A ports for external mouse and keyboard
NOTE: The mouse and keyboard on the laptop will work but, depending on setup, an external set might be needed. Many laptops do no have USB-A or HDMI ports on them. This will require the use of a USB-C docking station with the needed ports. DO NOT connect multiple docking stations or hubs together. This will cause issues with performance.
Internet access: Wi-Fi or ethernet access is only required if email certificates are requested and during support phone calls when remote access is needed.
